Love is in the air! This is the season of sweet sentiments, kind gestures, mushy moments, and double the display of adoration and affection. Red roses, pink flowers, sweet sentiments and overall demonstrations of love are everywhere. The feeling of lots of love is magnified this month because of Valentine’s Day, the day set aside to show your love for the people you admire most. The stores are stocked with stuffed animals and everything red, white and pink signaling that the season of love is here. For the believer every day is Valentine’s Day because of the unconditional love you have for your Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and the unconditional love you have for your loved ones that is not predicated on a season or holiday. God is love (1 John 4:8) and if God is a part of your life this is a feeling you fill up on daily. It is a love that is L-loyal, O-one, V-victorious, E-eternal.
Love is loyal. This type of loyalty is displayed through your adoration and devotion for your loved ones because of your faithfulness towards them. A loyal love is one that is full of trust and exudes confidence. True, loyal love establishes a bond that is unbreakable and able to weather any storm. A loyal love covers (1 Peter 4:8) and doesn’t compete, compare, or convict. Jesus demonstrated the epitome of a loyal love for you when He laid down His life for you, the one He calls His friend (John 15:13). His example makes it easy for you to show love that is loyal.
Love is an oneness that is not negotiable. You experience pure bliss and the blessings you desire when you abide in God’s love for you (John 15:7-8). Basking in God’s love gives you a guarantee that you can conquer anything with a loved one by your side and on your team. You are able to bear all things, believe all things, and endure all things together (1 Corinthians 13:7).
Love is victorious. You are never the victim in love but the victor. You cannot lose if you do everything in love. The demonstration of your adoration always wins in every situation. True love is triumphant in trials, tests, and tops any other force or feeling. Love wins every time.
Love is eternal and lasts forever. The love you experience with someone can last forever and it can fade away. The true lover of your soul, Jesus Christ, offers you a love that will last a lifetime. Jesus promises to be with you always so you never have to worry that you lack love (Matthew 28:20). For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16).
Everyone’s love season is different. You could be recovering from a love that was lost, in the midst of a magnificent relationship, or you could be in a season of hoping and praying that love finds you. No matter the season that you find yourself in, you can always rest assured that if no one else loves you, God loves you. God love is loyal. He wants to be one with you. He will give you the victory in every situation and circumstance you encounter. His love for you lasts a lifetime and will never fade away. Love is easy in God because He first loved you (1 John 4:19)
Knowing that God loves you helps you to love yourself and to demonstrate it daily to others (John 13:34). You can celebrate love with acts of kindness, concern, and care without looking for anything in return. That is usually when you are in the proper and perfect position to receive a double portion of the love you give. You can have faith, hope, and love but know that love is the greatest of them all (1 Corinthians 13:13). Your loyalty, oneness, victory, and eternity are the key to L.O.V.E.
